Sulfur Worms are colossal burrowing invertebrates that lurk beneath the crust of geothermal basins, using sulfur pools as both camouflage and incubator. Most of their bulk stays submerged, but when prey wanders too close, they surge upward in a violent eruption of steam and acid vapors. Their primary attack is projecting sticky, sulfur-rich globs that are best avoided. Originally adapted to subsistence in sulfuric aquifers, these worms underwent drastic changes in geothermal regions where exotics accumulate underground.
